The UK’s premier polocrosse tournament will take place at Onley Grounds, near Rugby from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August 2015.
Over 220 players and their horses from 14 clubs are expected to compete for the coveted Nationals Trophy on 4 pitches over 3 days. There will be approximately 80 hours of polocrosse played ranging from the Primary Juniors (under 13s) to the top ‘A’ grade including international players from the UK team who recently made it to the semi-finals of the Polocrosse World Cup in South Africa.
Spectators are welcome to attend with on site parking close to the pitches, £5 per car entry fee. This sport is fast and exciting and played out on grounds only slightly larger than a Rugby pitch so the action is right there in front of you. This is a contact sport (strict rules apply) and like no other equine discipline you have seen. It’s a highly tactical game and one of the few true team games in the equine world.
Games will be commencing around 12pm on the Friday and will continue right through to the Sunday afternoon. Sunday is finals day which will determine which club and which teams come out victorious.
Clubs who wish to play will need to enter by Tuesday 21st August. Entry details and schedule will be issued nearer the date.
